Drawing on historical roots, generational practices, and multi-therapeutic modalities, the Collective Care Project aims to support movement spaces, organizers, and community members in political healing justice work.

Offerings

Facilitation & Training

• Facilitated conversations for organizers, organizations, and community groups around:

  • Burnout, care, and laboratory praxis;

  • Reflective spaces to process emotional and relational dynamics in movement work;

  • The contradictions and strategic use of the Nonprofit Industrial Complex.

• Trainings that support organizers and community members navigate:

  • Fatphobia/fat antagonism in movement spaces;

  • Incorporating healing justice praxis into their organizing spaces;

  • Training the Trainers around: organizing and DA 101, popular education, facilitation 101, and direct action.

  • Fat liberation and intersectional movement work.

Mental Health Community Support

• Collective care space facilitation to support building a healing justice framework within organizational and workplace spaces.

• One-on-one or group mental health container for:

  • Reflection, support, and collective care grounded in healing justice and informed by trauma-informed techniques;

  • Processing emotional, relational, and political experiences and the impact of systemic harm;

  • Support in navigating burnout, grief, and the impact (and potential trauma) of nonprofit work.
