Hi! My name is natalie!

I am originally from the Global South and have lived in several parts of the US, including the South and East Coast, for over a decade now. I graduated with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Care from the University of Chicago and have focused my education and work around the intersections of sexual abuse and State violence, particularly as it relates to imperial and colonial expansions. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside immigrant women and young girls in their healing journey. My therapeutic modality is pluralistic, emphasizing a culturally responsive and politically conscious perspective. I believe therapy should work to accompany individuals on their journey toward collective healing and the embodiment of resistance, rather than merely making the everyday injustices of marginalization bearable. I draw inspiration from Latin American movement work, including Liberation Psychology, Popular Education, Mujerista theory, and community collectivism, and have been trained and supported by the Black-femme-led US South Healing Justice movement.
